Key takeaways
- The dashboard shows Active now, Idle now and Offline now, and the status table refreshes every 30 seconds.
- The agent sends a heartbeat roughly every 20 seconds, and a device silent for two minutes shows as offline.
- Status comes from keyboard and mouse presence only, never from screens or typed content.
Managers often ask for real-time visibility and mean two different things. Some want to know who is working right now. Others want to watch what people are doing. The first is a staffing question. The second is surveillance. The TIMO360 dashboard answers only the first.
What the dashboard shows
Total employees, Active now, Idle now and Offline now
Total active time and total idle time
An employee status table with each person's status, active time, idle time and when they were last active
An Active vs Idle chart by hour of day across the last 7 days
How fresh is the picture?
The desktop agent sends a heartbeat roughly every 20 seconds, and the employee status table refreshes on its own every 30 seconds. A device that stops responding for two minutes shows as offline, so a dropped connection is visible quickly without anyone asking for an update.
Using the hourly activity chart
The hourly chart splits active and idle time by hour of day. Use it to see when your team is most engaged, when quiet periods fall and whether those patterns match the hours you expect. It is a good input for scheduling meetings and handovers across a distributed team.
Drilling into one person
Open an employee to see their Overview, Timeline, Daily report and Devices. The activity summary shows tracked time, active time, idle time, break time, and punch in and out. Managers see their own team, and administrators see everyone.
What real-time does not mean
There is no live view of screens, no screenshots and no webcam. Nothing is tracked before an employee punches in, after they punch out or during a break, and the platform does not collect location data.
