Employee Activity Monitoring for IT Companies
Software and IT teams work across IDEs, terminals and browsers, often on a mix of Windows, macOS and Linux. TIMO360 reports attendance, active and idle time and application use from presence signals alone, with no screenshots and no keystroke logging, so you get visibility without recording what engineers see or type.

Why Visibility Is Hard in Information Technology
The usual monitoring options fit these teams badly. Here is what gets in the way.
Mixed operating systems
Engineering teams often run Windows, macOS and Linux side by side, so a monitoring tool has to cover all three.
Output does not look like hours at a desk
Work happens in IDEs, terminals, browsers and meetings, so attendance alone says little about how time is actually spent.
Distrust of intrusive tools
Engineers push back quickly on screenshots and keystroke logging, which can cost you trust before they give you any insight.
Distributed schedules
Teams spread across locations and working hours need presence data that does not depend on sharing an office.
Built on Presence Signals, Not Surveillance
Active and idle time, keystroke-free
A yes/no keyboard and mouse signal shows when a device is active or idle, with an idle threshold you set per organization.
Activity level trackingSee which tools are in use
The active application, such as an IDE, terminal or browser, is recorded with the window title, and each employee's report shows their top applications.
Activity level trackingAttendance for remote teams
Employees punch in and out and take breaks from the agent, and each day is broken into working, idle and break time. Meetings can be marked too and count as active time.
Attendance trackingReports and alerts for managers
Daily, weekly and monthly reports export as CSV, Excel or PDF, and admins get in-app alerts when an employee has been offline or idle for a long time or a device stops reporting.

Challenge
Engineers resist monitoring
With TIMO360
TIMO360 collects presence signals only. There is no screenshot, keystroke or webcam capability, and every employee can see their own data.
Challenge
Teams run different operating systems
With TIMO360
One desktop agent covers Windows 10 or later, macOS 12 or later and Linux (x86_64 with a desktop session), enrolled with a single-use code from the invite email.
Challenge
Managers need a team view, not a company-wide one
With TIMO360
Departments with assigned managers keep each manager's view to their own team.
Challenge
Devices drop offline unnoticed
With TIMO360
A device fleet view shows online, idle, offline and disconnected machines, and alerts flag devices that stop reporting.

- Device details such as OS version and agent heartbeats
Never collected
- Screenshots or screen recording
- Keystroke logging — never what you type
- Webcam or microphone capture
- Passwords, clipboard or form contents
- Full page URLs or query strings
- Message or document contents

Questions From Information Technology Teams
More in the full FAQ.
Does TIMO360 see our source code?
No. The agent never captures screens or keystrokes, so code, commits and messages are not recorded. It does record the active application name and window title text, so a title such as a file or project name can appear in activity data. Review the privacy policy and decide what fits your own policy.
Does it work on Linux workstations?
Yes. The Linux agent supports any x86_64 distribution with a desktop session.
Can we see which tools engineers spend time in?
Yes. The active application name is recorded, and each employee's report lists their top applications. TIMO360 does not score applications as productive or unproductive.
Does TIMO360 measure story points or sprint capacity?
No. TIMO360 reports attendance, active and idle time and application use. It does not read issue trackers or estimate sprint capacity.
